As a Necro I have [skill]Necrosis[/skill], [skill]Signet of Lost Souls[/skill] and [skill]Pain Inverter[/skill] permanently on my bar, (max rank sunspear and asura ) and for a great length of time (almost a year I reckon) have been using [skill]Feast of Corruption[/skill] with [skill]Suffering[/skill] and [skill]Insidious Parasite[/skill], however i'm getting bored. I think i'm going to find a new preferablt curses elite to use, or possibly going to try a non-MM death build, which should be easy as with a res, I only have 4 slots to fill including an elite.

I suppose even if I did change my build i'd still be in my comfort zone of those 4 skills, but they're so good in combination it doesn't make sense to get rid of them.

I change em when I feel like it. When playing a mesmer, finding good build might take some time. Other characters usually use one and same build, as I'm "Specialized" to mesmers x) Altought my builds usually suck, I have also found few pretty good ones. Elite areas are one place where I always change my build (and sometimes, when bored I go Ursan altought I dis it)

I pretty much just throw random stuff on my bar each time I go in. There's no need to set up for maximum efficiency, and using terrible skills to win can be more fun.

I've been basically using the same build on my Ranger since I found out how beneficial is it for the party to Daze all caster mobs. I only added/changed some skills when the new campaigns launched.

I've vanquished everything with this build, done everything on HM...with the help of my girlfriend and Heroes ofcourse. I've never bothered to change to an entirely different bar, I'm fine with my role of supporting the party by blinding/dazing key factors of the enemy mob.

During ToPK I used Concussion Shot to Daze the Dryders, so that became a staple in my build:

[Hunter's Shot][Concussion Shot][Distracting Shot][Epidemic][Throw Dirt][Troll Unguent][Whirling Defense][Escape]

After Factions launched I got mysellf a new Daze-skill:

[Hunter's Shot][Broad Head Arrow][Distracting Shot][Epidemic][Throw Dirt][Troll Unguent][Whirling Defense][Zojun's Haste]

Nightfall gave me a more reliable bleeding skill:

[Screaming Shot][Broad Head Arrow][Distracting Shot][Epidemic][Throw Dirt][Troll Unguent][Whirling Defense][Zojun's Haste]

And EotN gave me some imba-PvE-skills, so I decided to alltogether drop my self-healing and protection:

[Screaming Shot][Broad Head Arrow][Distracting Shot][Epidemic][Throw Dirt][Pain Inverter][Ebon Vanguard Assassin Support][Signet of Infection]

So basically I'm now Dazing the casters, Blinding the melee, apply Bleeding -> Disease and spread it with Epidemic. After that it's a matter of time until the mobs are killed by my H/H.

As a Necro, never. No need to.

As a Paragon, nearly never. Only when something didn't burn did I change my bar.

As a Warrior, never. The bar had maximum DPS, why change?

Changing depends on what I do and the profession I play.
On my main I've been playing AP/CoP spiker a lot, only change when I need to solve a specific situation.

On my monk I play whatever the other team members want me to play.
Most of the time I can run my own builds, RC/Divert hexes prot builds most of the time.
Sometimes they want a healing build, can also play most of those.

I like to play a build till I've completely mastered it and tweaked most weaknesses out of the build.
Then it's time to move on and try other stuff.
Or load a less played profession and try to remember how to play them

i change my build depending on what i'm doing. little tweaks mainly..for example no searing heat in fow/uw..but it works great when h/hing and you have a million enemies attacking me..then it's good for them to run. also sometimes i try water or air just for fun..damn air is nice for armor pentration. working on an earth build now, not defense mainly but offense..
and as a monk, well ya gotta change based on what dmg and how much the other guys are taking...

Depends on the area, but I mix up the area dependent builds every once in a while, mostly when they're nerfed (which means I probably won't need to ever change them again, sadly).

Favorite builds are usually centered around D-Slash, though. I love mah blades.

My build will sometimes depend on the area (i won't use minions in an area populated by corpse exploting creatures/minion stealing) but more often than not unless I'm vanquishing I'll experiement with different builds.

I love tweaking builds and coming up with new ones, new playstyles and strategies. This also leads to me not buckling down to one single character all the time, I switch around to whatever I feel like playing at the time.

So to answer the question I switch up builds all the time, the good ones and fun ones stick around i'll use them quite a bit, but I never stop trying different things.

As a main ele I like to vary my builds, Personally I Like running searing flames however sometimes I tend to take a small twist and play water or air just for fun.

Depends on what i am doing as to whether or not i change things around, whilst we are on the subject,
i was clearing out my desk drawer and i found 3/4 A5 sized notebooks that contained all my builds, from before the template codes were introduced.
I used to write them all down...Jesus there are some shockers in there i can tell you.

GW can be as fun or as boring as people make it. I can't for the life of me figure out why some people are intent on using the most "Uber 1337" skill bar 99.9% of the time and not only that but they advocate this stuff time and time again. In PvP I can understand though but in non competitive PvE play? However I have a few ideas...

1)too lazy to think
2)must always have the most efficient builds so they can show the rest of their team that they appear to know they are doing
3)look at my bar....compare yours to mine.....OMG YOU ARE FAIL!
4)I'm too good to try these lessor skill sets
5)PvE is too bloody difficult for me, I need these skills!

I could be completely wrong altogether but really...there is NO reason to run the same crap over and over again. Variety is the spice of life.

I change skills depending on the area. I'd like to be like some people who never change their skills but I just can't take an MM build into an area with no exploitable corpses, etc.

I tend to find something I like and stick with it. The only time I change something is when the area really calls for it.

This. Dual Air Attunement still hasn't gotten boring for my ele, but I alternate warrior builds like underpants.

I change builds on my derv all the time. Sometimes I want to run Lyssa, other times, Melandru, etc. I guess I change my builds quite a bit when I switch to farming builds as well. Some builds haven't changed in quite a while, except for farming, such as my rit who uses WoQ and my Necro who has had SS on her bar for quite a while.

I change all the time except for my mesmer toon. I always play illusion with her because that is what I like. All my other chracters (9) I routinely switch depending on the campaign and enemies I will fight.

My Ranger switches between Ursan, Bow builds and Beastmastery, though I hardly play him anymore - other characters are more powerful.
My Necro plays an IV/Necrosis build with enough energy to fuel the creation of an army of Bone Fiends. Very versatile and powerful build, and my creation.
My Elementalist plays a MB Nuker mostly, and will very rarely switch to other elements.
My Assassin plays an A/D Crit Scythe build for 113 DPS, bleeding and deep wound in PvE. She also acts as a SF Sliver Farmer and Runner thanks to the recent SF buff in PvE.
My Mesmer is my testing ground. I'm determined to reach the same power in PvE as my other characters, as she looks the best out of any of my characters (Kurzick armor is awesome). I'm quite happy with an AP/Ebon Assassin Support combo, in combination with illusion skills - The Burden skills are great for e-management, meaning AP + Burden = max energy for every kill. I just need some more powerful skills.
My Rit is in limbo at the moment. I can't decide on a build for her that sets her apart from other characters.
I started a warrior and paragon in Proph/NF respectively, and need builds for these two.
